Finally, we moved to the video element of the project. Having its primary home on YouTube, Comp Play required introductory and continuity segments to provide consistency throughout their content. Using the logo itself as a key visual cornerstone, we began to work on a number of different animations incorporating it.
For continuity sequences, to reinforce the competition aspect of the brand, we turned the brand’s logo into a ‘coin flip’ animation – with two variants, one landing on the skull and the other landing on the smiley face. We also crafted a high-impact, energetic intro sequence for Comp Play’s visualised podcasts.
