We're Hiring
Want to be our new
Client Portfolio Manager / Senior Campaign Manager?
Advert date: 22 March 2024 // THIS POSITION IS NOW CLOSED
Indie game marketing agency Game If You Are is looking to recruit an experienced marketer into one of two senior positions within the delivery team.
We are looking for either a Campaign Portfolio Manager to oversee our portfolio of client projects and lead our agency team on a day-to-day basis; or an agency account manager with experience in video games who would be eager to take on a key role in the team as a Senior Campaign Manager with the view to grow into the Campaign Portfolio Manager position.
Please Note: Applications without a covering letter or who do not answer the required questions on Indeed will NOT be considered and neither positions are junior or entry level roles.
Diversity & Inclusion: We are constantly looking to improve the diversity of our team, and believe passionately in the value of different backgrounds, cultures, and life experiences. If you don’t see many people like you working in similar roles, we’d especially love to hear from you.
Campaign Portfolio Manager.
The Campaign Portfolio Manager will manage and lead our small team of Campaign Managers who oversee a roster of client accounts and deliver their associated marketing campaigns. Taking care to balance the detail with the bigger picture, you’ll act as a Campaign Director on individual marketing projects, giving direction and guidance to the team throughout. Additionally, you’ll have oversight of a full portfolio of client projects, taking ownership of campaign results, operational/financial targets, and client satisfaction.
The role would be best suited to a passionate senior marketer with 3+ years experience in a video games marketing agency or similar stakeholder-facing environment, with strong project and client management chops. We’d love to see someone who is well versed in supervising, mentoring, and nurturing junior colleagues and is now looking for a step up into a position with greater autonomy and accountability.
The nature of the role means that each day will look slightly different, but you can expect most days to involve a combination of some of the following:
- Leading, managing and developing the team to their highest potential
- Setting, owning and enforcing quality standards within the team
- Handling escalations and triages on client projects
- Leading the marketing vision and strategy on client projects
- Delivering feedback and performing quality checks on client deliverables
- Controlling project budgets and scopes, whilst ensuring top class client satisfaction
- Delivering complex project deliverables, such as Ad Campaigns, Trailers or Consultation
- Working with leadership to continuously innovate and drive company initiatives
Senior Campaign Manager.
The Senior Campaign Manager will join our small team of Campaign Managers, acting as a mentor to junior staff. You’ll split your time between independently delivering your own clients’ marketing campaigns and functioning as a Campaign Director for your more junior colleagues on simple projects, providing direction and guidance whilst owning campaign results, operational/financial targets, and client satisfaction.
The role would be best suited to an ambitious mid-weight marketer with 2+ years agency (or similar) experience and 3+ years in the industry. We’d love to see someone who has excellent leadership, project management and client service skills and who is ready to take the next step in their career towards management.
The nature of the role means that each day will look slightly different, but you can expect most days to involve a combination of some of the following:
- Independently owning a portfolio of client accounts as the first point of contact for all day-to-day enquiries and minor escalations
- Leading the marketing vision and strategy on some simple client projects
- Delivering feedback and performing quality checks on some client deliverables
- Delivering complex project deliverables, such as Ad Campaigns, Trailers or Consultation
- Working independently to conduct market research, position products, generate concepts and ideas, and prepare tactical plans for our clients’ campaigns
- Writing press releases and pitching to journalists and influencers
- Creating and publishing social media and community content, or running other digital campaigns
- Producing client-facing documentation including proposals, project plans and campaign reports
- Setting, monitoring, and driving toward key performance indicators and milestone targets
Who We’re Looking For.
Please see the Job Specifications for further details on specific needs for each role but in general…
We’re looking for someone who’s bold, ambitious and curious, and who’s motivated by driving excellence, taking ownership and delivering results that make a real impact on the lives of passionate indie game developers.
You’ll need to be an experienced marketer in the indie games space, with agency (or similar) experience and a knack for developing winning marketing strategies.
You’ll have professional experience (and perhaps even a qualification) in project management, especially of complex or high-risk projects, and be able to confidently manage escalations from team members and help them in managing their own workload.
You’ll need to be an exceptional communicator and leader, with the ability to convey information precisely and authoritatively whether in person, on the phone or a video call, or in writing. You’ll be an expert at building and nurturing relationships while balancing the client’s needs with those of our business.
