Clients and prospects
We store the names, company names, positions and contact emails / phone numbers of those who have expressed an interested in working with Game If You Are – either by contacting Game If You Are to enquire about our services, or because, when we approached a company or individual to offer our services, they confirmed that they may be interested, either now or in the future. This is in line with GDPR because there is a mutually beneficial, legitimate business interest being pursued. However, if you would like us to destroy your details, you can request that we do so by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org and we will comply within 10 working days.
Journalists, influencers, and other media figures
Public relations is, at heart, about communicating with people. As such, we maintain databases of names, contact details, and various collected information on journalists, influencers, and other media figures who have an audience interested in video games. This is in line with GDPR because there is a mutually beneficial, legitimate business interest being pursued.
Nevertheless, we aim to go one step further and ensure that we only store and utilise the data of people who either A) have requested to be added to our database; B) given us express permission to be added to our database; or C) have either personally made their data available, or have had their employer make their data available, for the purpose of being contacted with professional and/or media-related information.
You may, at any time, request to see any information we hold on you by emailing email@example.com and we will reply within 10 working days. You can ask to be unsubscribed from our database at any time and we will destroy your data within 10 working days.
