We're Hiring

Want to be our new
Junior Campaign Manager?

Advert date: 15 September 2021 // Closing date: 6th October 2021

Game If You Are – a marketing agency for indie game studios, solo developers, and small publishers – is looking for a Junior Campaign Manager to orchestrate, coordinate and deliver a range of marketing campaigns for our clients.

Working as part of a small marketing team, you’ll contribute across market research and planning, as well as taking ownership of delivering individual campaigns and projects for some of the most exciting indie games on the planet. Your role will involve a combination of influencer and press relations, social and community management, and digital marketing – alongside consulting with clients  giving you the opportunity to hone your skills in a variety of promotional disciplines.

This is a full-time role, which will be entirely remote-working even after the pandemic (UK candidates are nevertheless strongly preferred). It would be the perfect development opportunity for someone with some experience in marketing (games or otherwise), or someone from a related field (such as games journalism or community management) looking to advance their career in a new direction.

Diversity & Inclusion: We are constantly looking to improve the diversity of our team, and believe passionately in the value of different backgrounds, cultures, and life experiences. If you don’t see many people like you working in similar roles, we’d especially love to hear from you.

What you'll do.

You’ll contribute to the planning and delivery of a range of marketing campaigns for indie game studios and publishers.

Working under the direction of a Senior Marketing Manager, you’ll conduct market research, help devise strategies, and play a key role in managing the delivery of campaigns.

You’ll also get stuck into plenty of front-line marketing and PR work – such as writing and distributing press releases, pitching influencers and influencers, creating social media and community content, running digital campaigns, and – post-pandemic – showcasing games at events.

Working closely with our clients, you’ll help to guide them through our process – ensuring they understand our approach, keeping them abreast of progress, and reporting on results.

Our ideal candidate.

We’re looking for someone with either some previous experience in a marketing role (games preferred but not essential!), or from a related career background such as games journalism or community management.

A good working knowledge of different marketing and PR disciplines is essential, as is a passion for video games (especially indies!). Knowledge of the games influencer / content creator scene is a big plus.

You’re both driven and organised, with the ability to keep multiple plates spinning without compromising the quality of your work. You can process the minute details while also appreciating the bigger picture.

You’re an effective collaborator who’s comfortable bouncing ideas off others, while also able to work independently with confidence.

You’re also an excellent communicator – whether in an email, in a phone or video call, or in person. You’ll have an excellent grasp of written English, with the ability to tailor your words to suit different requirements – such as social media posts, press releases, or client reports.

You like wearing many hats, and enjoy roles where no two days are the same.

You’re excited by the prospect of working for a small, dynamic and fast-moving company in a highly competitive sector – an agency that is constantly striving to adapt and improve the quality of its services.

What you'll get.

Starting salary of £23,000, with plenty of room for growth.

No commute! Work from home / the beach / anywhere with an internet connection.

Generous annual leave allowance! Two weeks off over Christmas and New Year, plus all bank holidays, plus 20 days’ accruable bookable holiday each year.

Actually reasonable work/life balance! We have a policy of avoiding overtime wherever possible, and always offer time off in lieu on the infrequent occasions where overtime is required.

Equal parental leave for all new parents or adoptive parents, with 14 weeks at full pay.

Fortnightly virtual coffee mornings! We have a lazy start every other Wednesday to chill out and catch up ahead of the working day.

Forge your own path in a dynamic and ever-changing start-up, with tailored support to help you achieve your career goals!
